Leigh's Story
Leigh started Dj’ing way back when he was just 14 years old at a local youth club disco every Monday. Eager to for fill his childhood dream of becoming a DJ. He soon became a roadie and his dreams was starting to come true! Doing weddings etc for 9yrs were he learnt his knowledge of how to read a crowd, knowing what & when to play it.
Many years later he decided he wanted dj in night clubs. So got himself some turntables and began to teach himself how to mix properly. He soon found his love for harder edged dance music. Which lead him to discover Hardtrance & Hardhouse. Instantly he was obsessed with both styles.
In the year 2000 after many years of playing in pubs. Himself and a few friends started up there own event & sound system called “Bodybag” witch soon became very popular & successful doing club nights & a few freepartys in the woods. After a short time they teamed up with another sound system called “Atomic” after Leigh was spotted playing at a freeparty by Atomic’s owner called “Hippy”. This was his big break becoming a full time resident called “Direct” This lead to there event booking famous Tidy Trax & Nuklus DJ’s like Lee Hallam, Guyver, Stimulant DJ’s, Phil Reynolds, Mark eg, the list go’s on. This leading Leigh to playing @ Nukluz world tour events, festivals and many other bigs things in his career & dreams.
Leigh is back on the scene after many years away with family ties. He has been hard at work over the last 5 years learning and finding his own personal sound as a producer, working with some of the biggest and best DJ/ Producers the scene has to offer, like Digital Mafia, Ben Stevens, Matt Clarkson, Dale Parry D and many more. His biggest influence who Leigh holds the most respect and admiration for has been the legendary Gaz Fullard, teaching him how to think out of the normal boxes that a lot of producers have for so many years! This has brought Leigh to where he is to date as a DJ- producer carving his own sound and multi genre mixing skills to make him the stand alone DJ/Production artist he is today! Leigh is currently working hard a to push forward the legendary “Atomic brand” which his has been his driving force and heartbeat for the last 24 years in the Hardhouse scene in to a new era!
